The Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills is now serving a limited-time Mother’s Day afternoon tea menu.
Served throughout Mother’s Day and into the beginning of summer, the new tea menu includes savory and sweet dishes. Sandwiches include a French savory pound cake with pickle, red bell pepper and cream cheese; a roasted chicken with smoked gouda, shaved Brussel Sprouts, an onion mayonnaise; smoked salmon with a lemon cream cheese; black truffle egg and a mini spinach and cheese quiche.
Scones include chocolate orange and vanilla bean and are served with lemon curd, clotted cream and jam. There is also a three-tier sweet tray including vanilla macaroons, a yuzu tart, chocolate coffee layer cake, choux matcha, mandarin dome and a raspberry cookie.
Diners can choose from a variety of TEALEAVES teas on the Waldorf’s tea list including English Breakfast, Gingerbread Cookie, Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, Starry Night and Mountain Berry.
Additionally, for an extra charge tea lovers can also indulge in a glass of Veuve Clicquot brut champagne. Non-alcoholic beverages include orange juice, a ruby red juice and a green juice.
The afternoon tea is served Saturday and Sunday in the elegant lobby in front of a soothing fire with comfy banquets, sofas and chairs, and tables.
The tea is offered at $110 per person. The Waldorf Astoria is located in Beverly Hills at 9850 Wilshire Boulevard.
